The need for analyzing groundwater quality

Groundwater is an important natural resource necessary for human consumption, domestic services, agriculture, industry, manufacturing and other sectors. In recent years, the growth of industry, technology, population, and water use has increased the stress upon this important water resource. In recognition of the potential for pollution, physical, biological and chemical analyses need to be conducted to assess our groundwater quality.

Groundwater quality can vary from one well to another based on various geologic and human-influenced factors. In order to characterize the groundwater composition, representative samples need to be collected and analyzed using approved and appropriate methods.
